Meet The Team

Tiffany Bartelt
Camp Director
Mrs. Bartelt is a bassist who has taught orchestra in Olentangy schools for the past 20 years and is currently the director for Hyatts and Liberty Middle Schools. She holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education from The Ohio State University and a Master's in Instructional Technology from Kent State.
Mrs. Bartelt is one of our behind the scenes organizers. Her main duties include organizing the schedule, overnight counselors and chamber music. She occasionally gets away from her spreadsheets and schedules to teach bass sectionals and work with chamber groups!

Lori Cornett
Camp Director and Founder
Mrs. Cornett has taught in the Olentangy Schools for 22 years and is currently the conductor for Orange High School. She holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Otterbein University.
Mrs. Cornett started our camp as a day retreat at for a handful of kids at Orange Middle School and has overseen our growth into into the 200+ student camp it is today. She continues to work behind the scenes on student placement, special event coordination,the organization of the HS counselors, and stressing out Mrs. Bartelt. She also directs the HS Counselor Orchestra and works as a chamber coach.

Kathy Waite
Director
Mrs. Waite retired from teaching strings for 30 years at Olentangy Shannahan Middle School but still helps out as a sectional coach at Olentangy High School. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Ohio Northern University and a Master's degree from Marygrove College.
Mrs. Waite is the official "camp grandma" and when she's not applying an ice pack to a skinned knee or talking about the joys of cross-stitch, you can find her working with the 6th grade groups!​​​

Doug Wright
Director
Mr. Wright was the director of the Thomas Worthington orchestras until retiring and working as a freelance orchestra clinician. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Capital University and a Master's in Music from Kent State.
Mrs. Wright travels from his lovely home in Florida just to teach our advanced group at camp!

Jill Bixler
Director
Jill Bixler is a performing violinist and director of the Olentangy Liberty High School orchestras. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Florida State University and a Master's in Music Education from The University of Toledo.
During the summer she takes a break from teenagers and works with our youngest students!

Juliette Alexander
Arts and Crafts Coordinator
Miss Juliette taught at Olentangy Wyandot Elementary School until 2003. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from The Ohio State University and a Master's in The Art of Teaching From Marygrove College.
You will find Miss Juliette carrying her trusty box of markers, washi tape, and yarn from class to class to do our camp crafting activities!
